Five For Freedom

Five For Freedom

Children as young as five years old are indentured by their parents to local fishermen due to poverty.

Many of these children work on the numerous islands along Lake Volta in Ghana. These children are denied basic needs such as shelter, clothing, nutrition, medicine and an education; while enduring long hours of labor as their dreams for a future are denied.

RTBF’s goal is to return hope to these children by rescuing them, placing them in schools and assisting their parents with income generating businesses to support the care of their children and prevent them from being re-trafficked.

It is in this vision that we appeal to you to partner with us under our Five for Freedom Program which is designed in order for us to continue our annual rescue missions. Under this program, we are looking for individuals who would like to support our important work in rescuing and rehabilitating child laborers with a minimum of $5 a month. We hope you will consider making a monthly donation of $5 (or any amount you choose, which you may cancel at any time, no questions asked).

By partnering with us, your support allows us to continue our vital work in saving children and helping them secure a promising future free from bondage and poverty. Just $5 a month can make a huge difference in transforming the life of a child in bondage. We thank you in advance for your consideration and support.

We gratefully accept donations by credit card, PayPal or check. Please visit Right To Be Free/US, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, at  www.righttobefree.org or click on "Donate Now"  to make a tax deductible donation.
